In the normal course of providing financial planning and investment advisory services, Pathfinder may collect information such as:
- contact information and identifying details
- financial account, income, tax, estate, insurance, and family information
- investment holdings, goals, constraints, and planning preferences
- information from custodians, financial institutions, or other professionals you authorize us to work with
- records of communications, meetings, and service requests
We collect this information directly from clients, from documents clients provide, and from institutions or professionals involved in serving the client.
How information is used
Client information is used to provide advice, maintain records, carry out client instructions, meet regulatory obligations, and support normal firm operations.
In the normal course of business, limited information may be shared with:
- custodians and financial institutions needed to carry out client instructions
- government agencies during routine examinations or when required by law
- outside professionals such as auditors, attorneys, or accountants who support firm operations or client service
- vendors and application service providers used to maintain systems, protect records, or improve client service
- other professionals, such as attorneys, accountants, or lenders, when you ask us to coordinate with them
Those parties are expected to use the information only as needed for the work they perform. We do not disclose information to unrelated third parties without your request, your permission, a legal requirement, or a permitted business purpose related to serving you.
Safeguards
Pathfinder maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect confidential client information. Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information to perform their work. Former client information is protected under the same general standards as current client information.
